OVERALL INFORMATION

Day 01 : Cusco – Aguas Calientes – Mandor gardens

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel by our local representative and then be transferred to Poroy train station 20 minutes outside of Cusco city, After boarding the train you will to go to Aguas Calientes (a small town near the Sanctuary of Machupiqchu). The train trip takes about 4 hours; not to worry however, there are plenty of spectacular things to see on the way. The train descends to 2100 m. /6750 ft. following the direction of Urubamba valley. Undoubtedly, this is one of the most spectacular trips that you’ll have in Peru. will be waiting to pick you up and take you to have lunch; and afterwards to your hotel in Aguas Calientes town. Then, you’ll have early lunch in a tourist restaurant.

In the afternoon, you are going to spend your time with our local tour guide in the botanical gardens of Mandor where you’ll enjoying the great variety of fauna and flora of the sanctuary of Machupiqchu like several beautiful orchids, Tunki or cock of the rock national of Peru bird Tunki or cock of the rock, spectacled bear. The tour is going to take 3:30 hours approximately,  around sunset you’ll have a briefing with your tour guide to make the plan for next day in Machupiqchu finally have a dinner and go to bed.

Itinerary

DAY 02 : Aguas Calientes - Machupicchu - Cusco

With another early rise, we go to the bus station to take the bus to Machupicchu. This bus takes 25 minutes by uneven track, where we will do tour of the Inca citadel, your tour guide will guide you around for about two and a half hours, to show you the most important sectors of this beautiful and enigmatic Inca citadel and then you will have some free time to wander, explore and take photos. Or alternatively you could decide to climb the mountain of Huaynapicchu (tickets required), where you can see spectacular panoramic views of Machupicchu, the valleys and mountains that surround it, or visit the Temple of the Moon or the great Inca Bridge. In the afternoon, we will meet in the town of Aguas Calientes, where if you want, you can visit and relax in its hot springs. From here we take the train back to Cusco, and we drop you off at your hotel / hostel. Travel time 4 hours. End of our services.
