OVERALL INFORMATION

DIA 01 : Cusco – Aguas Calientes – mountain Putucusi

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel by our local representative and then be transferred to Poroy train station 20 minutes outside of Cusco city, after boarding the train you will to go to Aguas Calientes (a small town near the Sanctuary of Machupiqchu). The train trip takes about 4 hours; not to worry however, there are plenty of spectacular things to see on the way. The train descends to 2100 m. /6750 ft. following the direction of Urubamba valley. Undoubtedly, this is one of the most spectacular trips that you’ll have in Peru. will be waiting to pick you up and take you to have lunch; and afterwards to your hotel in Aguas Calientes town. Then, you’ll have early lunch in a tourist restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will be picked up by our local representative and then you’ll start the hike to the Putucusi Mountain; Hiking up this exhilarating mountain that culminates in a spectacular view of the Machu Picchu citadel from the far side of the Vilcanota valley is one of the highlights of this tour, and probably your entire stay in Peru. On our ascent, you can appreciate the stark contrast between the mountain cloud forest and the elfin forest, as well as the interesting variation in trees, orchids and birds. Itinerary

DAY 02 : Aguas Calientes - Machupicchu - Cusco

With another early rise, we go to the bus station to take the bus to Machupicchu. This bus takes 25 minutes by uneven track, where we will do tour of the Inca citadel, your tour guide will guide you around for about two and a half hours, to show you the most important sectors of this beautiful and enigmatic Inca citadel and then you will have some free time to wander, explore and take photos. Or alternatively you could decide to climb the mountain of Huaynapicchu (tickets required), where you can see spectacular panoramic views of Machupicchu, the valleys and mountains that surround it, or visit the Temple of the Moon or the great Inca Bridge. In the afternoon, we will meet in the town of Aguas Calientes, where if you want, you can visit and relax in its hot springs. From here we take the train back to Cusco, and we drop you off at your hotel / hostel. Travel time 4 hours. End of our services.
